Viral 2026 Civil Servant Recruitment Poster Declared a Hoax by BKN

The National Civil Service Agency (BKN) has spoken out regarding the circulation of a poster claiming the opening of the 2026 civil servant candidate (CPNS) selection process, which has spread across various digital platforms. Head of the Legal and Public Communication Bureau, who is also BKN Spokesperson Wisudo Putro Nugroho, stated that one of the posters in circulation claims that 2026 CPNS registration has officially opened and directs the public to access a specific link. According to him, this poster is a hoax, and he urged the public to always ensure information comes from official government channels, not to click on suspicious links or share personal data, and to verify information through the official BKN website and the SSCASN portal. ‘BKN invites the public to jointly improve digital literacy and play an active role in stopping the spread of hoaxes, particularly regarding information on ASN selection. Do not let the desire to become an ASN be exploited by irresponsible parties. Always check the source of information before believing and sharing it,’ Wisudo stressed. Wisudo also emphasised that official information related to CASN selection, including CPNS, is only announced through official government channels and the official SSCASN portal. The public is advised not to easily trust posters, broadcasts, or links from unaccountable sources. ‘The circulating poster also shows several suspicious indicators, ranging from the use of links that are not official government domains to the use of narratives that encourage the public to immediately click on a specific link,’ he said.
