VinFast to Launch Premium Electric Motorcycles in Indonesia
Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has announced plans to sell a premium series of electric motorcycles in Indonesia. “We will also be introducing other types. Please wait,” said VinFast Indonesia e-Motorcycle CEO Yordan Satriadi at Tribeca Park, Jakarta, on Saturday, 18 July 2026. Yordan declined to specify when the premium type would be launched, explaining that the company is currently focused on selling three newly launched products: the Evo, Felix II, and Viper. These three fall into the mid-range and upper mid-range product and price categories. According to Yordan, VinFast wants to introduce products gradually so as not to confuse customers with too many choices. “So consumers can first experience what we initially provide,” he said. The announcement of the premium product was made as Yordan introduced the three VinFast electric motorcycle models now entering Indonesia. All three products are completely built-up imports. However, Yordan confirmed that VinFast will produce vehicles domestically by 2027. During the launch, Yordan explained the pricing for the three VinFast electric motorcycles. The Evo type is priced at Rp 17,500,000 per unit for the DKI Jakarta area. Four colours are available: olive, black solid, red candy tone, and white cyan. The Feliz 2 type is sold for Rp 18,500,000 per unit with four colour options. Meanwhile, the Viper type is sold for Rp 22,000,000 per unit. Yordan explained that the selling price includes a battery subscription package. Of the three motorcycle types, Yordan said the Evo can reach up to 150 kilometres with two batteries. The Viper and Feliz 2 are capable of reaching 145 kilometres on a single charge. Yordan stated that the purchase of a VinFast motorcycle includes a battery warranty of up to six years or the equivalent of 72,000 kilometres. Specifically for purchases made on the launch day, Yordan said VinFast is providing an additional one-year battery subscription or 20 battery swaps per month for a year at V-Green battery swap stations. Yordan said buyers can also convert this promotion into cash worth Rp 1,150,000. Regarding the batteries, Yordan said all three motorcycles use IP 67 rated LFP capacity batteries. “In the future, we will update again if there are upgrades from everything we produce,” he said.
