VinFast Targets Indonesian Families with VF MPV 7 Electric Car
VinFast is positioning its VF MPV 7 as a family vehicle of choice in Indonesia, entering a competitive electric vehicle market where manufacturers are increasingly offering added value tailored to consumer needs. The seven-seater electric car boasts a spacious cabin and efficient ownership costs, targeting families requiring practical mobility for both daily use and long-distance travel.
Head of Training Department VinFast Indonesia Rinaldi Ramdani stated that the vehicle’s primary advantage lies in its cabin space, designed to accommodate the needs of Indonesian families. The flexible interior allows the rear seats to be folded flat, creating ample room for luggage, camping equipment, or a comfortable resting area during long journeys. A dedicated Camping Mode transforms the cabin into a quiet relaxation space free from engine vibration and exhaust emissions.
Ramdani added that the company is committed to strengthening the supporting ecosystem to facilitate the transition to electric vehicles. The availability of charging stations remains a key focus, with VinFast operating 800 charging stations in the Greater Jakarta area and a total of 2,900 stations across Indonesia. The VF MPV 7 is equipped with a 201 hp electric motor and a multi-link rear suspension, and is the first model produced at the company’s factory in Subang, West Java, as part of its long-term investment in the country. VinFast also offers a free charging programme at its V-GREEN operated stations to reduce user operational costs.
