JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - VinFast has intensified its push into the premium segment after launching Lac Hong as a sub-brand some time ago. Recently, VinFast revealed two more Lac Hong models. Citing Carscoops.com, on Thursday (5/3/2026), VinFast introduced the Lac Hong 800S, a luxury SUV, and the Lac Hong 900S, a luxury sedan. Both will join the Lac Hong 900 LX, which had already been released.

The new models feature a large vertical-slat grille inspired by Vietnamese bamboo, paired with separate LED headlights. Golden accents on the bonnet accompany the mythical Lac bird, which also appears on the D-pillar and rear emblem. According to VinFast, the Lac Hong lettering on the tailgate is made from an alloy plated with real gold.

A sloping roofline flowing into the rear gives a fastback styling, with LED rear lights in a T shape and a pair of vents. The 800S SUV mimics the upright proportions of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, with straight character lines, silver accents, multi-spoke wheels, and a thick D-pillar that reinforces its stately stance.

Inside, both models pair wood panels with Nappa leather and gold-plated details. The dashboard is integrated with a single screen housing the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system. A cylinder lever in the centre console recalls BMW’s iDrive controller. Two wireless charging pads, manual controls for electrically adjustable seats, and a gold-plated speaker grille complement the interior look.

Although the two cars share a similar dashboard architecture, the 900S focuses entirely on rear passenger comfort. The car offers generous rear legroom, executive seats with a zero-gravity system, powered doors, and a partition that can be installed to house a large projection entertainment system and a foldable executive workstation. There is also a star-patterned ceiling and warm ambient lighting to complete the experience.

Both models will be offered with three electric motors delivering a combined output of 617 hp, routed to all four wheels. VinFast has not disclosed battery capacity or range.

However, the Vietnamese manufacturer promises a fully active suspension system designed to deliver extraordinary ride comfort and dynamic stability. The electric cars will also feature advanced smart technology and comprehensive safety systems.

Lac Hong 800S and 900S are planned for release in 2027. Prices remain undisclosed, but are expected to rise significantly compared with the VF models.
