The Head of Bagik Polak Village in West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Amir Amraen Putra, has been handed a two-year prison sentence. Amir was found guilty in a corruption case involving the sale of pecatu land (communal land) in his village.

“The defendant is sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 2 years,” ruled the panel of judges chaired by I Made Gede Trisnajaya Susila in the courtroom of the Mataram Corruption Court (Tipikor) on Friday (24/4/2026).

Amir was also sentenced to a fine of Rp50 million. If the fine is not paid, Amir must serve an additional three months in prison.

Furthermore, the judges ordered the defendant Amir to pay restitution to the state amounting to Rp140 million. If Amir fails to pay the restitution, his assets will be confiscated by the prosecutors and auctioned to cover the amount.

“If he does not have sufficient assets to pay the restitution, he shall be sentenced to imprisonment for six months,” stated the judge.

The judges determined that defendant Amir was proven to have violated Article 3 of Law No. 20 of 2001 on Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999 on the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) first of the Criminal Code.

“The court rules that the defendant is legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing the criminal act of corruption jointly as charged subsidiarily by the prosecutor,” he said.

Previously, the prosecutor had demanded a two-year prison sentence for Amir and a fine of Rp50 million. If the fine is not paid, it would be replaced with three months’ imprisonment. The prosecutor did not demand restitution from Amir.

It should be noted that in this case, Amir was not alone. He was a defendant alongside the former Head of the Control and Dispute Resolution Section of the West Lombok National Land Agency (BPN) Office, Baiq Mahyuniati Fitria, and Majli Azhar.

The other two defendants have not yet been sentenced by the panel of judges. For information, the sale of the 3,757 square metre plot of land caused a state financial loss of Rp958 million.
