Village Cooperative Manager Selection Announced Today, Salaries Remain Undisclosed
The Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, is optimistic that the government-recruited managers for the Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives will be announced today. Candidates can check their results at https://phtc.panselnas.go.id/. Ferry confirmed that the selection results for the cooperative managers were announced on Thursday (11/6/2026). ‘Yes, the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives (Farida Farichah) conveyed that it would be announced today,’ he stated when met at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta.
The number of announced positions totals 35,000, consisting of 30,000 village cooperative managers and 5,000 fishing village managers. ‘They will start in August,’ Ferry added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah explained that these managers will be contracted for two years and subsequently evaluated. ‘The managers are contracted for two years. There will be an evaluation. The principle is that Agrinas, through these managers, is being seconded. The state is present through this managerial assistance. Why must they be assisted? Because the village and subdistrict communities are limited in terms of cooperative management SKM,’ Farida said on the same occasion.
According to Farida, the presence of Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperative managers represents a form of state assistance to enhance the management capacity of cooperatives at the village level. ‘Thus, Merah Putih Village Cooperative managers are deployed to every village. We believe these 35,000 individuals are the best sons and daughters of the nation from the hundreds of thousands who applied. We are optimistic that the managers announced today, who will later receive education and training, can carry out operations optimally,’ she stated.
Despite the selection results being announced, the government has not yet disclosed the salary amount the managers will receive. ‘The salary is still confidential,’ Ferry said briefly. Farida added that the salary scheme is currently in the finalisation stage and will be announced shortly. ‘It is still in process. We will announce it and inform you all later,’ Farida said.
When asked if discussions were still ongoing with the Ministry of Finance, Farida answered, ‘It is still being reviewed. It is still being refined.’ She hopes that a decision regarding the salary can be reached before the managers are deployed. ‘Please pray for it. Just pray that it is completed soon, before they are dispatched,’ she said. Farida even hinted that the announcement could be made this month. ‘This month. Yes. Please pray for it,’ she remarked.
The government currently records that approximately 12,300 Merah Putih Village/Subdistrict Cooperatives have completed their physical construction. Meanwhile, around 23,000 other units are still under construction. The government is targeting a phased operationalisation until the end of the year, in line with the completion of the cooperatives’ physical buildings. Minister Ferry estimates that the maximum number of Merah Putih Cooperatives that could be operational by the end of the year might reach around 40,000 units, with the majority of physical structures targeted for completion during that period.
