Viktor Axelsen Shares New Post-Retirement Activities with Fans

World badminton legend Viktor Axelsen has embarked on a new chapter following his decision to retire from competitive play. His career is being celebrated through a regional Meet and Greet tour titled ‘Celebrating the Legacy of Viktor Axelsen’, organised in partnership with Monitor ERP as a sponsor and brand ambassador. The event series begins at The Westin Jakarta and will continue in Penang, Malaysia, on 26 May 2026. The Danish former badminton player said he has learned much from his time at the highest level of the sport. ‘Competing on the world’s biggest stage has taught me about discipline, consistency, and resilience. These values extend far beyond the sport,’ Axelsen said. He also noted that his partnerships with collaborators go beyond professional interests. ‘I greatly appreciate the trust from partners like Monitor ERP. I’m proud that this collaboration extends beyond performance to shared long-term values and vision,’ he added. In retirement, Axelsen spends more time with his family but remains active in various activities. ‘I try to spend as much time as possible with my two daughters. Even when with them, I drop them off at nursery or school, then always do physical training,’ Axelsen explained. He added he is still involved in business projects and sponsorships. ‘I have a business with a friend, and I’m still working with sponsors like Yonex, Monitor, and HSBC, so I’m quite busy and enjoying life,’ he continued.
