Vietnam's CT Group Explores High-Tech Partnerships with UI, PTDI, and ITB

Vietnam’s CT Group is exploring strategic cooperation opportunities with several Indonesian institutions, including the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Engineering Technology Institution (Lemtek UI), PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), and the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). CT Group leader Tran Kim Chung stated that the meetings discussed the development of high technology, research and innovation, the aerospace industry, and human capital strengthening. “Our collaboration with Lemtek UI is designed to bridge academic excellence with industrial implementation. The goal is not just to conduct research, but to produce practical innovations that support Indonesia’s national development priorities,” Tran Kim Chung said in a written statement on Tuesday. During the meeting with Lemtek UI, CT Group explored collaboration in the fields of Digital Twin, Low Altitude Economy (LAE), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), smart infrastructure, artificial intelligence, digital mapping, autonomous systems, and future mobility solutions. The partnership is also directed at encouraging the commercialisation of research results through joint innovation programmes, technology incubation, startup development, and pilot projects. Meanwhile, a meeting with PT Dirgantara Indonesia discussed partnership opportunities in aerospace technology and the future aviation industry. The cooperation being explored includes UAV development, aerospace engineering, advanced manufacturing, technology integration, maintenance services, workforce development, joint research, and potential exports to regional markets. CT Group also met with ITB to discuss joint research development, engineering innovation, technology commercialisation, Digital Twin and UAV development, startup incubation, and talent development programmes. Long-term initiatives being explored include scholarships, lecturer and student exchanges, joint laboratories, collaborative research centres, and industry-linked engineering education. “Human capital is one of the most valuable investments for any country. Through collaboration with ITB, we want to help develop highly skilled engineers, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs who will drive Indonesia’s industrial transformation and digital economy in the future,” Tran Kim Chung said.
