Vietnam's CT Group Explores High-Tech Partnerships with UI, PTDI, and ITB
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vietnamese technology company CT Group is exploring strategic cooperation opportunities with several institutions in Indonesia, including the Engineering Technology Institute of the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Engineering (Lemtek UI), PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), and Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
CT Group Vietnam’s leader, Tran Kim Chung, said the meetings discussed high-tech development, research and innovation, the aerospace industry, and human resource strengthening.
“Our collaboration with Lemtek UI is designed to bridge academic excellence with industrial implementation. The goal is not merely to conduct research, but to produce practical innovations that support Indonesia’s national development priorities,” said Tran Kim Chung in a written statement on Tuesday.
During the meeting with Lemtek UI, CT Group Vietnam explored collaboration in Digital Twin, the Low Altitude Economy (LAE), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), smart infrastructure, artificial intelligence, digital mapping, autonomous systems, and future mobility solutions.
The cooperation is also directed at encouraging the commercialisation of research outcomes through joint innovation programmes, technology incubation, startup development, and pilot projects.
Meanwhile, the meeting with PT Dirgantara Indonesia discussed partnership opportunities in aerospace technology and the future aviation industry.
The cooperation under exploration covers UAV development, aerospace engineering, advanced manufacturing, technology integration, maintenance services, workforce development, joint research, and potential exports to regional markets.
CT Group Vietnam also met with ITB to discuss joint research development, engineering innovation, technology commercialisation, Digital Twin and UAV development, startup incubation, and talent development programmes.
Long-term initiatives being explored include scholarships, lecturer and student exchanges, joint laboratories, collaborative research centres, and engineering education more closely connected to industry needs.
“Human capital is one of the most valuable investments for any nation. Through our collaboration with ITB, we want to help develop highly skilled engineers, researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs who will drive Indonesia’s industrial transformation and digital economy in the future,” said Tran Kim Chung.
