Vietnam launches TV talk show
HANOI (DPA): Vietnam's broadcasting system is poised for
another milestone, albeit decades behind most of the rest of the
world -- with the introduction this Sunday of its very first talk
show.
The new show will bring together private entrepreneurs and
state company executives to discuss with government officials how
official policy effects their businesses.
The 45-minute show will initially only be aired in Ho Chi Minh
City, the country's main commercial center, formerly known as
Saigon.
The new program is entitled "The Path to Industrialization and
Modernization" - which is lifted from the ruling Communist
Party's key slogan which is aimed at making Vietnam a "basically
industrialized" country by the year 2020.
