Vietnam approves national project to develop its nuclear energy workforce
Hanoi (ANTARA) - The Vietnamese government has approved a national project for training, capacity-building, and human resource development in the atomic energy sector, according to a report by the local Dan Viet newspaper on Thursday (21/5). By 2030, Vietnam aims to provide professional training and capacity-building support for 100 per cent of state management personnel working in the atomic energy sector, both at central and local levels. The initiative is designed to ensure involved personnel have full competency in carrying out government management tasks related to radiation safety, nuclear safety, nuclear security, and the application of atomic energy technology. The report revealed that the project also targets the formation of a core team consisting of highly qualified research and development professionals who are able to absorb, master, transfer, and innovate in the field of atomic energy technology.
