Vietjet Increases Seat Capacity for Mid-Year Holiday Period
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Vietnamese airline Vietjet is increasing travel capacity by operating nearly 3,800 flights and providing up to 832,000 seats during the extended holiday period from 25 April to 5 May 2026 across its entire domestic network in Vietnam.
According to a press release received on Friday, this expansion aligns with major holidays in Vietnam, including the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day as well as Reunification Day and International Labour Day, which represent one of the busiest travel seasons after the Lunar New Year (Tet).
The addition of approximately 500 flights during this holiday period represents a 16% increase compared to the same period last year.
Vietjet is enhancing flight frequencies on major domestic routes connecting popular destinations in Vietnam, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue, Quy Nhon, and Phu Quoc.
This promotion applies to travel periods up to 31 August 2026 across Vietjet’s entire flight network, offering travellers the chance to plan holidays or summer trips in advance. Bookings can be made via the official website www.vietjetair.com or the Vietjet mobile app.
For Indonesian tourists, this promotion presents an ideal opportunity to explore Vietnam and other destinations in the Asia-Pacific region, rich in culture and activities.
Vietjet currently operates main routes connecting Indonesia and Vietnam, including Jakarta and Bali to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as the new Jakarta–Da Nang route scheduled to commence operations on 1 June with a frequency of five return flights per week.
With stable operations in both domestic and international networks, Vietjet continues to deliver comfortable and efficient travel experiences, facilitating Indonesian tourists’ exploration of various destinations in the region.
Passengers are also advised to book tickets early and perform online check-in via the website or Vietjet mobile app to ensure a smoother travel experience during the peak holiday period.
As part of its sustainable growth strategy, Vietjet continues to strengthen regional connectivity through the launch of new international routes, including Jakarta–Da Nang, Nha Trang–Singapore, and Hanoi–Shizuoka (Japan), further expanding its connectivity network in the Asia-Pacific region.
