Vidi Aldiano Often Consulted About Worship With Habib Ja'far
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Singer Vidi Aldiano during his life frequently consulted on religion and the performance of worship with preacher Husein Ja’far Al Hadar, or Habib Ja’far.
After attending the funeral of Vidi at the Tanah Kusir Cemetery, South Jakarta, on Sunday morning, Habib Ja’far said that he had long maintained communication with Vidi.
Although they had not met in person for a long time, Habib Ja’far often answered questions from the singer via the WhatsApp application.
According to him, Vidi recently asked about performing worship while ill.
“As for WhatsApp messages, he still messages frequently, and none of it is personal, but his concerns were questions about various aspects of worship,” Habib Ja’far told reporters after the funeral.
“The last thing he asked was how his limitations affected his ablution and prayer. So all of his communications were about how he could better himself, increase his worship, and that is what he asked about,” he explained.
“God willing, our friend, our family, Vidi Aldiano, is in the best of condition, because on the best day and month,—the holy month of Ramadan—and the day the Qur’an was revealed, the 17th of Ramadan,” he said.
Habib Ja’far stated that many people described Vidi as a good person.
In Islam, he explained, the testimony of people about the goodness of someone who has died becomes a prayer for the deceased.
Habib Ja’far also stated that the illness endured by Vidi for about seven years could wash away his sins, especially since the singer of “Nuansa Bening” faced it without much complaint.
“Rather, the closer one is to Allah, the more worship one engages in,” he said.
He urged people to pray for Vidi and take a lesson from him.
“The best gifts for him are two. First, to pray for him, and second, we improve ourselves so that this becomes the best lesson for us all,” he said.
