Vidi Aldiano Dies; Vice President Gibran: Indonesia Loses Talented Young Talent
Jakarta – Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has expressed deep condolences over the death of singer Vidi Aldiano on Saturday evening. Gibran, via his personal Instagram account @gibran_rakabuming, posted a condolence message on Vidi Aldiano’s Instagram post @vidialdiano. He said that Vidi’s passing robs Indonesia of a talented young artist whose works brought colour, inspiration and new hope to the country’s arts scene.
‘Our deepest condolences. Indonesia has lost a talented young talent whose works have brought colour, inspiration and new hope to the Indonesian art world,’ Gibran wrote on Saturday, 7 March 2026.
Gibran also stated that the late’s dedication to the arts will always be remembered. ‘The late’s dedication will always be remembered,’ he added.
It is known that singer and songwriter Vidi Aldiano died on Saturday. The sad news was announced by his family and several fellow musicians via social media. A post by host and content creator Deddy Corbuzier on social media carried an emotional message addressed to the singer Vidi Aldiano.
Through his Instagram account @mastercorbuzier, Deddy posted an illustration of a broken heart on a black background accompanied by the words, ‘My heart is broken. Badly broken. You gone too soon… Beautiful soul… Vidi Aldiano’.
In the caption, Deddy also wrote a remorseful message: ‘I hate myself for not knowing you longer than I should,’ he wrote. The post immediately drew the attention of netizens and attracted thousands of comments in a short time.
