Video: To Secure Fertiliser, Ministry of Agriculture Avoids Sourcing Raw Materials from War Zones
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Director General of Infrastructure and Facilities at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia, Andi Nur Alamsyah, has assured the government’s commitment to safeguarding the supply and prices of subsidised fertiliser amid the turmoil of the Iran versus US-Israel war. PT Pupuk Indonesia, as mentioned by Andi Nur Alamsyah, has been instructed to secure the supply of imported fertiliser raw materials by not relying solely on the Middle East but expanding to countries not involved with the Strait of Hormuz. On the other hand, the Ministry of Agriculture is ensuring the supply and prices of pesticides, including the stabilisation of agricultural production input prices, by strengthening synergy and collaboration with relevant institutions and stakeholders.
