Video: To Prevent MBG Poisoning, SPPG Entrepreneurs Form Special Task Force
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The General Chairman of the Indonesian Nutritious Food Entrepreneurs Association (GAPEMBI), Alven Stony, has ensured the security of food supplies to meet the needs of the national Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, as the majority of food ingredients come from within the country. Nevertheless, GAPEMBI is monitoring the impact of the Middle East conflict’s turmoil on the energy crisis, which could lead to disruptions in logistics and the food supply chain, particularly for imports such as meat and dairy. To address this situation, GAPEMBI is focusing on domestic supplies and strengthening cooperation with local farmers and traders to stimulate the economy and benefit local SMEs. GAPEMBI has also formed the MBG Task Force to ensure that MBG kitchens meet the technical guidelines and standard operating procedures, as well as obtain certifications, as a measure to prevent cases of MBG food poisoning. What is GAPEMBI’s strategy to meet food needs in the era of war?
