Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - CNBC Indonesia, together with the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), organised Jogja Financial Festival 2026 on 22-23 May 2026, which will feature financial festival activities, business talks, educational classes, a comedy live show, an exhibition, a concert and a career corner. Suminto, Director General of Financing and Risk Management at the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, presented the ministry’s approach to managing the APBN, including debt management, government securities (SBN) and financial risk during Jogja Financial Festival 2026. In supporting APBN financing, the government issues SBN as debt financing comprising Conventional SBN (ORI and SBR) and Sharia SBN (Sukuk Retail and Sukuk Tabungan). SBN also serves as a risk-free investment instrument for the public.

Besides SBN, investment instruments for the public include investments in the capital market through stocks and corporate bonds. The Acting President Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Jeffrey Hendrik, said the number of investors in Indonesia’s capital market continues to rise, reaching 27.4 million, as a signal of market optimism towards investments in Indonesia’s capital market. BEI confirms the exchange’s authority supervises stock market transactions to ensure investment safety in Indonesia’s capital market.

From the government’s infrastructure investment side, the Chief Executive Officer of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), Reynaldi Hermansjah, said PT SMI’s role as a non-bank financial institution under the Ministry of Finance that finances infrastructure such as the Jogja–Solo Toll Road and the UGM Academic Hospital. In endeavour to maintain the sustainability of PT SMI’s investments, PT SMI implements strategies relating to risk mitigation and project selection, as well as monitoring financing projects to keep NPL below 1%.
