Video: TKD Cut by Rp133 Billion, Will Barru Regency's Development Still Accelerate?
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Prabowo administration continues budget efficiency measures by cutting the Regional Transfer Budget (TKD) in the 2026 RAPBN by 24.8%-29.34%, bringing it to Rp693 trillion compared to allocations of Rp864-Rp919.9 trillion for 2025. Responding to this TKD cut policy for 2026, Barru Regent in South Sulawesi, Andi Ina Kartika Sari, views it as an encouragement for regions to become more independent and to accelerate activities that can boost local development. For Barru Regency, the 2026 TKD budget is reduced by Rp133 billion; however, on the other hand, Barru Regency receives development assistance of Rp400 billion through the construction of the People’s School worth Rp270 billion, Infrastructure Funds for Village Roads of Rp50 billion, the Fishermen’s Village programme of Rp9 billion, and agricultural strengthening of Rp44 billion.
