Video: Three KUB Group Programmes by Bank Jatim to Boost Lending and Digitalisation
The Regional Bank Summit 2026, themed ‘Strategic Transformation of BPDs in Driving National Development’, served as a strategic discussion forum bringing together regulators, leaders of Regional Development Banks (BPD), and stakeholders to discuss the institutional transformation of BPDs to support national and economic development. President Director of Bank Jakarta and Chairman of ASBANDA, Agus Haryoto Widodo, assessed that synergy among BPDs through the formation of Joint Business Groups (KUB) is a step to strengthen capital structure and competitiveness while boosting the role of BPDs in regional and national economies. The KUB BPD continues to strengthen the core fundamentals of finance, risk, operations, technology, and human resources for each member to ensure aligned synergy. The Bank DKI KUB Group, which includes Bank Maluku Maluku Utara (MalukuMalut), continues to push forward stages of reinforcement, including liquidity management, product and network development, and talent management strengthening. The Bank Jatim KUB Group, comprising Bank NTB Syariah, Bank Banten, Bank Lampung, Bank Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra), and Bank Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), targets aligned growth for each member, reflected in credit growth supported by low-cost funding and digitalisation. In 2023, there were three main strategic focuses: achieving low-cost funding targets, increasing quality lending, and boosting digital banking transactions, accompanied by strengthening systems, governance, and human resources.
