CNBC Indonesia is hosting the Food Summit 2026 titled “Indonesia Food Safety Urgency: Towards a New Policy Framework,” aimed at fostering shared understanding, strengthening synergies among stakeholders, and formulating strategic recommendations to bolster the national food security and quality system.

Deputy for Systems and Governance of the National Nutrition Agency, Tigor Pangaribuan, at the Food Summit 2026, assured the steps taken by BGN to ensure food safety in the free nutritious meal (MBG) programme through three aspects: strengthening governance via Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) standards, techniques for selecting food raw materials, and food processing procedures.

BGN also ensures supervision of 27,000 SPPGs across Indonesia to guarantee safe food processing for the MBG programme.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Bandung Regency, Dadang Supriatna, mentioned the local government’s strategy in supporting the MBG programme, with 1.235 million beneficiaries and 448 kitchens or SPPGs. The MBG implementation is based on sub-districts, along with strengthening coordination with task forces and related institutions to address on-the-ground issues.

From the private sector, Corporate Affairs Director of Frisian Flag Indonesia, Andrew Saputro, confirmed the dairy producer’s commitment to maintaining food safety in milk products from upstream to downstream, including support for the MBG programme.

Frisian Flag empowers and partners with local farmers who are trained to ensure the milk products can be processed and packaged with high quality and maintained nutritional standards.
