Video: Supplying Natural Gas for NZE 2060, Industry Needs Permit Facilitation
President Director of Citra Nusantara Gemilang (CGAS), Andika Purwonugroho, assures the commitment of PT Citra Nusantara Gemilang Tbk (CGAS) in fulfilling the distribution needs of natural gas or Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) for industry amid the turmoil of global energy price increases. CGAS continues to develop and increase the capacity of CNG stations on the island of Java, as well as strengthen the CNG Hub in southern Java and the island of Sumatra. In addition, CGAS is developing renewable gas sources and waste energy as part of its commitment to supporting Indonesia’s energy transition. In efforts to promote the energy transition programme towards Net Zero Emission 2060, the natural gas business faces challenges related to technology and substantial investments. Furthermore, government regulatory facilitations are needed that can ease the gas industry in building new CNG stations and accessing marginal gas wells, thereby increasing domestic gas production capacity.
