Video: Sumatera Power Outage, PLN Apologises and Explains the Cause
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – PT PLN (Persero) apologises for the electricity disruption that caused power outages in several areas of Sumatra on Friday (22/05/2016). PLN’s investigation indicates that the outage was caused by a major fault due to bad weather on the 275 kV Muara Bungo-Sungai Rumbai transmission line in Muara Bungo Regency, Jambi Province. PLN teams have managed to address the fault and are accelerating restoration on the generation side gradually so that the electricity supply in the affected areas can return to normal as soon as possible.
