Video: SPPG Partners Guarantee SPPG Staff Trained to Cook MBG to Standards

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The General Chairman of the Indonesian Nutritious Food Entrepreneurs Association (DPP GAPEMBI), Alven Stony, has revealed GAPEMBI’s steps to ensure food safety and quality in the Free Nutritious Meals Programme (MBG). GAPEMBI is establishing a special task force to ensure that MBG kitchens meet the technical guidelines (Juknis) and standard operating procedures (SOP), as well as obtain certifications, as a measure to prevent food poisoning cases in MBG. Furthermore, training is being encouraged to improve the quality and capabilities of human resources in MBG kitchens, given the recruitment of local communities around the Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG). On the other hand, GAPEMBI is nurturing cooperatives, SMEs, and farmers to meet the food needs for MBG around SPPG, with the hope of stimulating the surrounding economy.
