Video: Sharia Insurance Confident 100% UUS Spin-off Process Will Be Completed by 2026

The Chairman of the Indonesian Sharia Insurance Association (AASI), Fauzi Arfan, has shared positive developments regarding the spin-off process of Sharia Business Units (UUS) within Indonesian insurance companies.

AASI noted that the insurance spin-off process is proceeding smoothly, with an increasing number of companies undertaking the transition. Consequently, the target for 100% completion of insurance spin-offs is expected to be achieved by the end of 2026.

The spin-off serves as an initial step in the efforts of Sharia insurance to enhance performance in Indonesia. Despite the number of companies expected to decrease from approximately 55 to fewer than 40, Assets Under Management (AUM) are projected to continue rising.
