Video: Regulating Coal and CPO Exports — PT DSI Vows No Disruption to Business

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Pahala N Mansury, Managing Director of Global Relations and Communications at BPI Danantara, revealed eight sectors that are the focus of Danantara’s investment, namely the energy sector, both renewable and non-renewable, to safeguard Indonesia’s energy security, as well as digital-based sectors such as data centres and AI, which are also receiving Danantara’s attention.

In addition, Danantara, through PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), has officially joined as an Associate Member of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF), an association of global sovereign wealth funds (SWFs). This step is expected to open opportunities for Danantara to develop state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and invest abroad, whilst also strengthening Danantara’s investment governance in line with international standards.

Danantara has also confirmed the readiness of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) as the single-window export BUMN for strategic natural resource commodities, namely coal, CPO and ferro alloy. This is intended to ensure that export records for the three main commodities can be properly managed through the National Single Window, which consolidates data from various ministries and agencies related to exports.

DSI is also committed to maintaining business certainty and honouring export contracts already in progress, so that it will not disrupt the business of these strategic commodities.

Regarding the formation of the Danantara Development Management Fund (DDMF), Pahala stated that the DMF is an investment holding focused on building and financing long-term projects aimed at driving national development with social impact, one focus being the electric vehicle sector.
