Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Director of LRT Indonesia, Roberto Akyuwen, has assured that the Jakarta LRT is committed to enhancing its services and expanding routes and networks to optimise efforts in supporting the transition of people from private transportation to public transport in the capital city of Jakarta. The Jakarta LRT service plays the role of a feeder system and an intercity connector to link community activity points and become part of the multi-modal ecosystem in Jakarta. The Jakarta LRT is ensuring route development so that it can play a role in reducing Jakarta’s traffic congestion through reliable, comfortable, and safe public transport solutions. Currently, the Jakarta LRT already has Route 1A, which is 5.8 kilometres from Pegangsaan 2 to Velodrome, and is being completed in 2026, namely Route 1B for the Rawamangun-Manggarai route spanning 6.4 kilometres, which will be extended via Route 1C connecting Manggarai to Dukuh Atas. In the future, Route 2A will be added, connecting Pegangsaan 2 to Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), and planned Route 2B from Velodrome to Klender, as well as Route 3A from JIS to Rajawali. Then, Route 3B, which will connect Klender to Halim, will be connected to Whoosh.
