Video: Prabowo Pushes for B50 in Wartime Era, Will Palm Oil Issuers Benefit?

President Director of PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk (SSMS), Jap Hartono, has confirmed the palm oil industry’s support for the government’s B50 biodiesel programme. Indonesia’s CPO production, reaching 50 million tonnes per year, is expected to meet the needs of 16-20 million tonnes of CPO for B50. Jap Hartono stated that the B50 programme will have a positive impact on palm oil players as it will serve as a guaranteed absorber of local Crude Palm Oil (CPO) production while strengthening Indonesia’s base palm oil prices. The B50 programme is estimated to support sales and double-digit business growth.
