Video: Prabowo Confident 5,000 Fishing Villages Will Be Completed Within 3 Years

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — President Prabowo Subianto will deliver the Macro Economic Framework and the Core Policy of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF) for the RAPBN 2027 to the 19th Plenary Session of the Indonesian DPR in the 2025-2026 Session Year.

Prabowo said that Indonesia currently faces global economic and geopolitical challenges; therefore the Government is responsible for the welfare of the Indonesian people. The RAPBN is thus a tool in the struggle to protect the people and their welfare.

The KEM-PPKF RAPBN 2027 targets revenue at 11.82%–12.40% of GDP to support priority programmes, with the budget deficit of the state budget (APBN) reaching 1.8%–2.4% of GDP. The rupiah is targeted at Rp 16,800–Rp 17,500 per US dollar, with economic growth aimed at 5.8%–6.5%.

In addition, Prabowo outlined the developments in Indonesia’s economy in 2026 in the face of global economic and geopolitical volatility. One of the government’s flagship programmes is the 5,000 Fishing Villages over the next three years, which will be equipped with ice facilities. In addition, Prabowo urged improvements in teachers’ welfare.

The Government is also pushing for the management and sovereignty of the seas. On the other hand, Indonesia is currently the world’s largest exporter of coal, palm oil and ferro-alloy (iron alloy), with exports reaching Rp 1,100 trillion per year. However, the tax ratio – the Government’s revenue as a share of GDP – lags behind the Philippines and Mexico.

Prabowo also highlighted a trend of a shrinking middle class and rising poverty.
