It is hoped that these innovations can support the food self-sufficiency programme and the MBG initiative, where demand has risen by up to 30%. Nevertheless, the pesticide industry is also feeling the impact of the Middle East conflict, with surges in oil prices and global supply chain disruptions. This relates to increases in the prices of imported raw materials, spikes in plastic prices, and the weakening of the Rupiah, which affect pesticide production costs and compress business margins.
