Video: Prabowo Accelerates 13 Downstream Projects, Indonesia's Economic Growth Could Reach 8%!
In an effort to accelerate national industrial transformation, President Prabowo Subianto has officially conducted the groundbreaking for 13 strategic downstream projects in phase II, valued at Rp 116 trillion—comprising 5 projects in the energy sector, 5 in the minerals sector, and 3 in the agriculture sector—on 29 April 2026. Chairman of House Commission XII, Bambang Patijaya, views the development of these downstream and industrialisation projects as a serious step by the government to provide added value to domestic industries. It is hoped that this policy will increase tax revenues through Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP), create a circular economy that impacts the SME sector, job creation, and economic growth towards 8%. The House of Representatives ensures its support for the downstream projects while guaranteeing oversight until they are completed and deliver economic benefits.
