Video: Partners of the Ministry of Finance, Bank Indonesia, OJK and LPS, The Role of DPR RI Commission XI

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - CNBC Indonesia, together with the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), organised Jogja Financial Festival 2026 on 22-23 May 2026, featuring a financial festival, business talks, educational classes, a comedy live show, an exhibition, a concert and a career corner.

Chairman of DPR RI Commission XI, Mukhamad Misbakhun, at Jogja Financial Festival 2026, conveyed Commission XI’s views on the development of Indonesia’s economy before students in Yogyakarta.

Misbakhun likened the economy to a cup of coffee, where the coffee bean represents fluctuations in the rupiah exchange rate, sugar and milk represent stabilisation of food prices, and the barista’s wage reflects the public’s purchasing power. Thus macroeconomic conditions reflect the public’s ability to afford a cup of coffee.

Misbakhun also noted that Indonesia currently has a demographic dividend—the productive young generation—as a driver of growth with various roles.

DPR RI Commission XI, the assembly’s arm tasked with finance, national development planning, and monetary affairs, acts as a partner to KKSK KSSK (Financial System Stability Committee), namely Kemenkeu, OJK, BI and LPS.
