Palm oil issuer PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk (SSMS) succeeded in recording a 41.6% profit growth to Rp 1.16 trillion throughout 2025, supported by revenue of Rp 14.81 trillion. President Director of Sawit Sumbermas Sarana, Jap Hartono, stated that SSMS’s solid performance is inseparable from the increase in sales volume and rising commodity prices. From an operational perspective, the company’s steps to promote efficiency and production optimisation have become the key to SSMS’s palm oil business growth. On the other hand, the corporate action of acquiring 98.328% shares in PT Sawit Mandiri Lestari (SML) has provided benefits to the company because the age of the palm plants is below average, thus the Crude Palm Oil (CPO) produced is better. SSMS is optimistic about the prospects of the national palm oil business and assures its support for the government programme, including the B50 Biodiesel programme. Indonesia’s CPO production, reaching 50 million tonnes per year, is expected to meet the needs of 16-20 million tonnes of CPO for B50.
