Video: Pahala Mansury on PT DSI - Danantara's Overseas Investments

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Pahala N Mansury, Managing Director of Global Relations and Communications at BPI Danantara, has revealed the eight sectors that form the focus of BPI Danantara’s investments, namely the energy sector — both renewable and non-renewable — to safeguard Indonesia’s energy security, alongside digital-based sectors such as data centres and AI, which are also receiving Danantara’s attention.

In addition, Danantara, through PT Danantara Investment Management (DIM), has officially joined as an Associate Member of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF), an association of global sovereign wealth funds. This step is expected to open opportunities for Danantara to develop state-owned enterprises (BUMN) and invest overseas, whilst also strengthening Danantara’s investment governance in line with international standards.

Danantara has also confirmed the readiness of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) as a single-window export BUMN for strategic natural resource commodities, namely coal, CPO and ferro alloy. This is intended to ensure that exports of the three main commodities can be properly recorded through the National Single Window, which consolidates data from the various ministries and agencies involved in exports.

DSI has also committed to providing business certainty and honouring existing export contracts, so as not to disrupt the trade in these strategic commodities.

Regarding the establishment of the Danantara Development Management Fund (DDMF), Pahala stated that the fund is an investment holding focused on building and financing long-term projects aimed at driving national development with social impact, with one focus being the electric vehicle sector.
