The E-commerce Logistics Entrepreneurs Association (APLE) has filed a complaint with the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) regarding alleged monopolistic practices and unfair business competition within the digital trade ecosystem. This relates to findings of suspected vertical integration practices, or attempts to control market distribution from upstream to downstream, carried out by a digital platform.

APLE Chairman Sonny Harsono stated that the digital economy requires logistics services to grow rapidly, and therefore monopoly practices would threaten business continuity. APLE is also pushing for the integration of overlapping policies, as the sector is currently regulated by numerous ministries and agencies.
