Video: Oh No! MSCI Removes 18 Indonesian Stocks - India Rejects Russian LNG
Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) has officially announced the results of its global index review for the May 2026 period. The outcome represents a substantial setback for Indonesia, with six domestic stocks removed from the MSCI Global Standard Index and no new stocks added. Meanwhile, Russia is reportedly pursuing long-term agreements to supply LNG and fertiliser to India in order to divert markets that have traditionally depended on Europe. On the other hand, India has indicated openness to purchasing Russian LNG but with strict conditions that the cargoes must originate from projects untainted by international sanctions.
