Video of Amien Rais's Statement on Prabowo and Teddy Disappears from YouTube
detikcom subsequently conducted a search for the video. After investigation, it was found to originate from the Amien Rais Official YouTube account.
detikcom then attempted to download the video but failed. There was a notice stating that the video was no longer available due to an official objection from the government. As of 1:51 PM WIB on Saturday (2/5/2026), the video was no longer on the Amien Rais Official YouTube channel.
Regarding this matter, detikcom has attempted to contact the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) but has not received a response. However, the Minister of Communication and Digital previously stated that what Amien Rais said was slander and hate speech.
Although the original source of the video is gone, it remains a hot topic of discussion on social media. Fragments of the video have also been shared on social media.
The Minister of Communication and Digital (Menkomdigi) Meutya Hafid commented on the video uploaded by Amien Rais on his YouTube channel regarding the closeness between President Prabowo Subianto and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Meutya described the video as character assassination.
“The Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) has identified the spread of a video containing narratives of slander, character assassination, and personal attacks directed at the President of the Republic of Indonesia. The video was uploaded by the Chairman of the Shura Council of the Ummah Party,” Meutya said in an Instagram post @kemkomdigi on Saturday (2/5/2026).
Meutya stated that Amien Rais’s statement contains hate speech. She assessed that his statement has the potential to divide the nation.
“Komdigi emphasises that the content of the video is hoaxes, slander, and contains hate speech. The narrative constructed is an attempt to degrade the dignity of the country’s highest leadership, lacks factual basis, and is part of an effort to provoke public unrest. This has the potential to divide the nation,” she said.
