PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk (PGEO) is targeting a capital expenditure allocation of USD 209 million in 2026, with USD 158 million to be used for the development of strategic projects and approximately USD 51 million for maintaining operational reliability. The Finance Director of Pertamina Geothermal Energy, Yurizki Rio, revealed several strategies for developing geothermal projects and their derivatives, which not only serve as sources of revenue but also aim to stimulate investment interest in the geothermal sector. There are three areas of geothermal derivative projects that are the focus of PGEO, namely Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, and Green Centre. In 2026, PGEO also targets a 3.15% growth in electricity output from 5,085 Gigawatt-hours (GWh) to 5,255 Gigawatt-hours (GWh), with revenues worth USD 445-455 million and EBITDA of USD 340-350 million, supported by increasing demand from PLN.
