Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Ministry of Social Affairs has officially formed the Acceleration Team for People’s School Development (TP2SR) to speed up the construction of 61 permanent pilot People’s School sites that have not yet been accommodated within the Ministry of Public Works’ construction quota.

PT Nindya Karya (Persero), as a state-owned construction enterprise, has confirmed its contribution to accelerating the development of People’s Schools in support of the government’s national strategic projects (PSN) aimed at expanding access to quality education.

The implementation of the People’s School projects is being carried out swiftly so that the facilities can be used immediately to support teaching and learning activities, according to PT Nindya Karya (Persero) President Director Firmansyah. Nindya Karya is also ensuring monitoring and evaluation by implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and integrating the procurement of materials, labour and equipment usage.

Nindya Karya has currently been tasked with building People’s Schools at 20 locations, all of which have been completed 100 per cent. The schools that have been built have begun the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS), with an average of 300 beneficiary pupils per school.

In addition, Nindya Karya is also completing water and environmental infrastructure projects, including the Jatiluhur Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) and the Dam-Serpong Water Conveyance System (KSCS) Package 3. The challenges of these projects relate to land issues and resolving social matters with the community.

What is Nindya Karya’s role and strategy in accelerating infrastructure projects to support the school development programme as well as water and road projects and the procurement of temporary housing for flood victims in Sumatra?
