Video Narration Attributed to Rismon Sianipar Alleged to Be AI-Generated; JK's Legal Team: Still Needs Verification

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Jusuf Kalla’s legal representative, Abdul Haji Talauho, stated that the video narration attributed to Rismon Sianipar, containing alleged accusations against his client, still requires verification. Even though it is claimed to be the product of artificial intelligence (AI) processing. The accusations consist of statements alleging that JK funded former Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora), Roy Suryo, and associates to pursue the case regarding the diploma of Indonesia’s 7th President, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). “Yes, meaning this also needs to be tested first. Because this is a serious matter, a matter of credibility,” said Abdul when met at Bareskrim Polri, South Jakarta, on Monday (6/4/2026). “Even if it’s AI later, that’s why we need to do it first so that it can be verified whether it is AI or not,” he explained. Because Abdul believes Rismon’s statements are reinforced by several social media contents, including from YouTube channels. One of them is the “Ruang Konsensus” programme from the YouTube channel Zulfan Lindan Unpacking Indonesia owned by Budhius M. Piliang, which features Mardiansyah Semar, Chairman of Rampai Nusantara. “In the YouTube statement, Mardiansyah conveyed that Mr JK no longer has the capacity and still has an irrational instinct for power,” he revealed. “Yes, there are sentences accusing Mr JK of being a loser, so to speak, which leads his movement towards unconstitutionality. This is hoax news, false news that also needs to be verified. That’s one,” he added. One content even has a title linking JK to alleged provocation up to rebellion. “There is a very fatal sentence according to us because there is a statement, ‘Indication of hypocrisy, praises Prabowo but wants to rebel’. This is what kind of question, it’s already clear-cut,” he explained. According to Abdul, there are about four parties to be reported besides Rismon, consisting of YouTube channel owners, content creators, and guests. Rismon Sianipar’s legal representative, Jahmada Girsang, denied that his client accused JK of funding Roy Suryo and associates to pursue the Jokowi diploma case.
