Video: Misbakhun Assures MBG Will Not Disrupt State Budget - Fuel Subsidies on Target
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Chairman of DPR RI Commission XI, Mukhamad Misbakhun, has shared the outcomes of meetings between the Indonesian government and rating agencies and investors as part of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings 2026 in Washington DC, from 13 to 18 April 2026.
This initiative aims to strengthen international confidence in the continuity of fiscal policies and the commitment to upholding joint rules. It is being implemented by maintaining a fiscal deficit of 3% and a debt ratio below 60% of GDP, alongside the government’s decision not to raise prices of subsidised fuel to safeguard inflation, the purchasing power of the lower classes, and Indonesia’s economic growth.
Misbakhun also assured the fiscal resilience in executing the government’s priority programmes, from MBG to the Merah Putih Village/Urban Ward Cooperatives, while promoting targeted subsidies to maximally drive community economic activity.
