Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Chairman of the Indonesian Nutritious Food Entrepreneurs Association (GAPEMBI), Alven Stony, has assured the security of food supplies to meet the needs of the national Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, as the majority of food ingredients are sourced domestically. Nevertheless, GAPEMBI is monitoring the impact of the Middle East conflict on the energy crisis, which could lead to disruptions in logistics and the food supply chain, particularly for imports such as meat and dairy. To address this situation, GAPEMBI is focusing on domestic supplies and strengthening cooperation with local farmers and traders to stimulate the economy and benefit local SMEs. GAPEMBI has also established an MBG Task Force to ensure that MBG kitchens comply with guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as meeting certifications, as a measure to prevent food poisoning cases in the MBG programme.
