Video: MBG Kitchen Boss Reveals Strategy to Secure SPPG Food Supply Chain
In the midst of global geopolitical turmoil shaking the world, Indonesia is deemed by Abdul Rivai Ras, Chairman of the Indonesian Association of Entrepreneurs and Managers of Free Nutritious Kitchens (APPMBGI), to still be quite resilient. As energy and food supply chains are disrupted by wars, APPMBGI assesses that Indonesia’s food resilience is still quite good, reflected in the achievement of food self-sufficiency. APPMBGI encourages ease of distribution and supply chains to ensure food absorption, including to MBG kitchens, is maintained. APPMBGI plays a role in stabilising food supplies and maintaining price stability. APPMBGI is creating a concept to build a food supply chain system to around 26,000 Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) kitchens and establishing an MBG Command Centre to monitor food distribution and oversight of the MBG programme, including ensuring MBG food meets nutritional standards. For more details on efforts to build a strong MBG food supply chain, watch the dialogue between Syarifah Rahma and Abdul Rivai Ras, Chairman of APPMBGI, on Squawk Box, CNBC Indonesia (Wednesday, 13/05/2026).
