Video: Lampung Provincial Government's Strategy to Synergise Regional Programmes with MBG
The agriculture and plantation sectors—specifically rice, maize, and cassava—alongside the tourism sector, have been identified by the Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal, as the main sources of economic growth in Lampung province.
As a province serving as a hub between Java and Sumatra, Lampung is encouraging sustainable investment that can provide added value to the local economy. The Lampung Provincial Government is strengthening competitiveness through streamlined licensing, infrastructure improvements, maintaining security and stability, ensuring healthy business competition, and preparing human resources.
The Lampung Provincial Government is also ensuring that economic growth aligns with the improvement of community welfare and the reduction of poverty rates. This is being achieved by ensuring that economic growth integration extends from cities to villages, and that provincial government programmes are implemented in alignment with central government programmes to stimulate economic activities from rural to urban areas.
