PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk (KEEN) has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting the development of new renewable energy (EBT), particularly solar power plants (PLTS) in Indonesia. Since 2024, Kencana Energy has utilised unproductive land in the Kencana Agri palm oil areas to build two PLTS facilities, each with a capacity of 4 MW and 1 MW, including the Tempilang PLTS. Kencana Energy Director Giat Wijaya is optimistic about developing EBT in Indonesia, stating that Kencana Energy will continue to contribute to the large-scale electricity supply through PLTS, PLTA, and PLTBm, not only in Java but also in Sumatra and primarily in Eastern Indonesia.
