Video: Jogja-Solo Toll Road Opened for Functional Operations to Facilitate Mudik Travel
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The 12-kilometre Yogyakarta-Solo toll road project is set to commence functional operations on 16 March 2026. Although the initial opening will be limited to operations between 6 am and 6 pm, the highway is claimed to significantly reduce travel time by approximately 10 minutes compared to conventional arterial routes, which typically require around one hour of travel time.
This development comes in anticipation of the mudik (mass exodus) period, when millions of Indonesians travel to their hometowns for religious holidays.
