Jakarta—Raditya Endra Budiman, Chief Executive Officer of Dharma Jaya, has assured the security of meat stocks in Jakarta during Ramadan and in anticipation of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

Dharma Jaya maintains 1,000 tonnes of meat as stock for the next three months, supported by private sector meat supplies to ensure a 5-10% surge in demand is met.

Nevertheless, the Jakarta Provincial Government is anticipating potential price increases for meat given the weakening rupiah against the US dollar amid global geopolitical tensions. This stems from Indonesia’s continued dependence on imported meat supplies, particularly from Australia, although meat from Brazil and India could serve as cheaper alternative sources.

The dialogue between Syarifah Rahma and Raditya Endra Budiman, Chief Executive Officer of Dharma Jaya, was broadcast on Squawk Box, CNBC Indonesia (Monday, 2 March 2026).
