Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The President Director of LRT Indonesia, Roberto Akyuwen, has assured that LRT Jakarta is committed to improving its services and expanding routes and networks in order to optimise efforts to encourage people to switch from private transport to public transport in the capital city of Jakarta.
LRT Jakarta plays a role as a feeder system and an intercity connector to connect community activity points and become part of an integrated multi-modal ecosystem in Jakarta.
LRT Jakarta ensures route development so that it can play a role in reducing traffic congestion in Jakarta through reliable, comfortable and safe public transport services. Currently, LRT Jakarta has Route 1 A, which is 5.8 kilometres long from Pegangsaan 2 to Velodrome, and is being completed in 2026, namely Route 1B for the Rawamangun-Manggarai route with a length of 6.4 kilometres, which will be expanded through Route 1C connecting Manggarai - Dukuh Atas.
In the future, Route 2A will be added, connecting Pegangsaan 2 to Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), and the planned Route 2B is from Velodrome - Klender, as well as Route 3A from JIS to Rajawali. Then Route 3B which will connect Klender - Halim which will be connected with Whoosh.
