Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – CNBC Indonesia, together with the Indonesian Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), organised the Jogja Financial Festival 2026 on 22-23 May 2026, featuring a financial festival programme, business talks, educational classes, a comedy live show, exhibitions, concerts and a career corner.
Suminto, Director General of Financing and Risk Management, the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR) at the Ministry of Finance, explained the Ministry’s approaches to managing the state budget, including debt management, government securities (SBN) and financial risks.
To support the financing of the APBN, the government issues SBN as debt financing, comprising Conventional SBN (ORI and SBR) and Shariah SBN (Sukuk Ritel and Sukuk Tabungan). SBN also serves as a zero-risk investment instrument for the public.
Beyond SBN, other investment instruments include investing in the capital market through equities and corporate bonds.
The Acting President Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Jeffrey Hendrik, said that the number of investors in Indonesia’s capital market continues to rise, reaching 27.4 million, signalling optimism about capital market investments in Indonesia.
BEI confirms that the market supervisory authority oversees stock exchange transactions to ensure the safety of investments in Indonesia’s capital market.
From the government’s infrastructure investment perspective, the President Director of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), Reynaldi Hermansjah, noted PT SMI’s role as a non-bank financial institution under the Ministry of Finance that finances infrastructure projects such as the Jogja–Solo Toll Road and the UGM Academic Hospital.
To safeguard PT SMI’s investment continuity, the company implements a range of strategies related to risk mitigation, project selection, and project financing monitoring to keep NPL below 1%.
