Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia—CNBC Indonesia, together with the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), organised the Jogja Financial Festival 2026 on 22-23 May 2026, featuring a financial festival, business talks, educational classes, a comedy live show, exhibition, concert and career corner.

Suminto, Director General of Financing Facilities and Risk Management, at the Directorate General of Financing and Risk Management (DJPPR), Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, during Jogja Financial Festival 2026 outlined the Ministry of Finance’s approach to managing the State Budget (APBN), including debt management, government securities (SBN) and financial risk.

To support APBN financing, the government issues SBN as debt financing, comprising Conventional SBN (ORI and SBR) and Sharia SBN (Sukuk Ritel and Sukuk Tabungan). SBN also serves as an investment instrument for the public with zero risk.

Besides SBN, investment instruments that the public can consider include investments in the stock market through shares or corporate bonds. The Acting President Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), Jeffrey Hendrik, said currently the number of investors in Indonesia’s capital market continues to rise, reaching 27.4 million, signalling optimism in investments in the Indonesian capital market.

BEI ensures the exchange’s supervisory function over transactions on the stock exchange to ensure investment safety in the Indonesian capital market.

From the government’s investments in infrastructure, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero) President Director Reynaldi Hermansjah said SMI plays a role as a non-bank financial institution under the Ministry of Finance that finances infrastructure projects such as the Jogja-Solo Toll Road and UGM Academic Hospital.

To maintain investment sustainability, PT SMI implements risk mitigation and project selection strategies, including monitoring financed projects to keep NPLs below 1%.
