Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Indonesia brought together delegates from 35 countries at the Global Dialogue Forum on Cross-Border Copyright Royalty Governance in Bali. Held from 7 to 9 October 2026, the forum aims to establish a more transparent and fair system for managing royalties. Indonesia’s Minister of Law, Supratman Andi Agtas, stressed the importance of an integrated system to ensure that copyright royalties are recorded and distributed fairly to creators.

Meanwhile, Director-General of Intellectual Property Hermansyah Siregar said incomplete data and differences between countries’ systems remained obstacles to royalty distribution.
