Video: Imported Raw Materials Remain a Challenge for Indonesia's Eco-Friendly Lighting Production

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Signify’s Director and Commercial Leader for the Professional Channel, Lucas Ardhana, confirmed the company’s role as a lighting products manufacturer through innovative, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly smart lighting technology based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Signify noted three lighting sectors significantly contributing to carbon emissions: public infrastructure (street lighting), manufacturing industry, and tourism. In producing eco-friendly lighting products in Indonesia, Signify operates several manufacturing facilities with a 40% Domestic Content Level (TKDN). However, reliance on imported high-tech raw materials remains a challenge. On the other hand, Signify’s lighting production innovations also aim to support a circular economy, sustainability, and waste management at production facilities.
